WSJwineField of Stones Sauvignon Blanc 2011
Dr. John Forrest is a HUGE name in New Zealand wine – and Sauvignon Blanc is his forte. Full of lively citrus and classic mineral notes, this invigorating example goes down easy on a warm day, and tastes great with a crisp salad.

Rather dry but drinkable without food. But next time, we plan to try it with fish. It may be too dry to have with chicken, but we won't know until we try it! From the same vineyard that makes our "favoritest" wine, Stonewall.
I was excited to try this Souv Blanc from this region. And this wine didn't dissapoint! We drank it on the deck by the river and it absolutely hit the spot. Light and crisp, I picked up ripe honey dew, but that's just me. Would be great with shell fish, but perfect all by itself.
Quite enjoyable, I was impressed - Reminiscent of old time Sauvignon Blanc. Not to fruity, not to acidic a good balance . The color had a little to much green tint, should have been a little more light amber. Taste was clean but not nutty enough. Still a very good wine compared to many of the more popular brands.

The aroma is unique but overpowering and the balance of pineapple and lemon created a grapefruit taste to me. I do not care for this wine
